Privacy Policy

Lightshift is the app development studio inside Everblue Digital, a business registered in Ireland and based at Cavan Digital Hub, Kilmore Business Park, Cavan, Co. Cavan, H12 PD82. This policy explains what information we collect through lightshift.ie, why we collect it, and the choices you have. What we collect

The only personal data we collect through this site is what you give us through the contact form or by emailing us directly. That is your name, email address, phone number if you choose to leave one, and whatever you write in the message field. We do not ask for anything beyond what is needed to reply to you and understand what you need built.

How we use it

We use the information you submit to respond to your enquiry, discuss the project you have in mind, and follow up if a conversation is already underway. We rely on our legitimate interest in running a business that people can contact, and where a project moves forward, on taking steps at your request before entering a contract. We do not use contact form submissions for marketing unless you separately ask to hear from us, and we never sell or rent your data to anyone.

How submissions are handled

When you submit the contact form, it is sent through Postmark, a transactional email provider, and delivered to us as an email. Postmark processes that message on our behalf as part of delivering it and does not use it for any purpose of its own. We keep enquiry emails in our inbox for as long as is useful to the working relationship, and delete them when they are no longer relevant, generally within a few years of the last contact.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not currently set analytics or tracking cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated first and you will be asked for consent where the law requires it.

Where your data is stored

Enquiry emails sit in our email hosting and in Postmark's infrastructure, both of which operate within the EU and UK or under recognised data transfer safeguards. We do not transfer your data outside these arrangements without an appropriate legal basis for doing so.

Your rights

Under GDPR you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, or ask us to restrict or stop processing it. You can also ask for a copy of your data in a portable format, and you have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission in Ireland if you think we have handled your data incorrectly. To exercise any of these rights, email hi@lightshift.ie and we will respond within a month.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site or how we handle data changes. The date at the top will always reflect the most recent version, and material changes will be reflected here rather than announced elsewhere.
